Rare Breed Pork, Grass-Fed Lamb & Honest Farm Produce
At Slate House Farm, everything we produce is born, raised, and harvested right here on our land.
We take immense pride in offering food that is not only delicious but also ethical, traceable, and rooted in traditional farming values. From the first light of lambing season to the hum of busy hives in summer, every part of the farm plays a role in producing food with a story.
Our rare breed Oxford Sandy and Black (OSB) pigs are at the heart of our mission. This heritage breed is known for its gentle nature and outstanding flavour, and we raise them slowly and naturally on pasture. The result is exceptional pork—marbled, rich, and deeply connected to the land it comes from. Every joint, sausage, and cut reflects our commitment to conservation, welfare, and quality.
Alongside the pigs, we rear a small flock of prime lambs, born and raised here with care. Our selection of Mule ewes are excellent mothers, and our grass-based system ensures the lambs grow strong and healthy without the need for intensive inputs. We believe good meat starts with good land and thoughtful stewardship—and you can taste the difference.

We also keep traditional poultry, including layers and table birds, that roam freely across the farm. Our hens are true characters, delivering a steady supply of fresh eggs with golden yolks that speak of pasture and sunshine. The poultry are part of the rhythm of the farm, helping with pest control and soil health while providing us with nutritious food.
Our beehives are another source of pride. The bees forage from our wildflower gardens, hedgerows, and fruit trees to produce small batches of raw honey, rich in local flavour and free from additives or heat treatment. It’s honey as it should be—pure, golden, and alive with the taste of the land.
Everything we produce is a reflection of our values: natural, sustainable, and local. Whether it’s pork, lamb, poultry, eggs, or honey, you can be sure it’s been raised with care, right here at Slate House Farm.
