Our Flock

We have been keeping Hebridean sheep since 2013, with our first lambing in 2015. We started with 5 ewe’s and now have 5 ewe’s, 5 shearling ewe’s, 6 ewe lambs, 6 shearling wethers, 1 ram lamb and 2 wether lambs. We selected the breed as they are easy to keep, low maintenance and grazing properties. The Hebridean is often used for conversation grazing as it will eat most unwanted foliage beside the grass.  They’re tolerable of poor grazing and unlike most sheep breeds there is little need to feed concentrate feeds and will happily over-winter on hay.

We are members of the Hebridean Society  (HSS 06417) with our pedigree flock and do our best to continue to preserve and establish this native breed.  With our small yet establish flock,  following lambing in 2017 we hope to have more ewe and ram lambs for sale. Pork I set curing last week for bacon, is now ready for smoking, so washed, dried divided into 3 and popped I to cold smoker with apple chips.
